DB&A Awarded SBIR Phase II Contract by U.S. DoD
Tuesday, February 14, 2006

DB&A is awarded a Phase II SBIR development contract by the Office of the Secretary of Defense to fully develop the Blood Bank Surveillance System, BBSS, for the Armed Services Blood Program.

The BBSS will conduct advanced statistical analysis to define baseline rates of deferral and positive infectious disease testing in DoD blood donor populations.  It will then monitor these rates and then automatically notify users when micro trends appear out of norm.  Work will begin in February of 2006 and finish in September of 2007.
