DB&A Joins ICAO Fatigue Risk Management (FRM) Task Force

The International Civil Aviation Organization, ICAO, began efforts in 2013 to address fatigue in Air Navigation Service Provider, ANSP, air traffic control operations.  The efforts are intended to develop new Standard and Recommended Practices, SARPS, for member country regulators and ANSPs.  DB&A, as part of its ongoing support to the US Federal Aviation Administration fatigue risk management efforts in Air Traffic Operations, has joined the ICAO FRM Task Force and will be conducting a review of existing flight ops FRM SARPS and recommending edits to customize them for the AN

DB&A leads FRM Workshop for FAA Air Traffic Organization

DB&A provided expert facilitation and fatigue risk management services to conduct of a safety risk management panel to help define mitigations that reduce fatigue-related hazards associated with work schedules for air traffic controllers in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Air Traffic Organization.  This work continues our ongoing support to the FAA's FRM Program since its inception in 2009.

DB&A Supports IATA Flight Crew Fatigue Education

Dave Buczek Presents Fatigue Risk Management Systems at AIHce Conference in Montreal, Canada

Dave Buczek, President of DB&A, presented on Fatigue Risk Management Systems at the AIHce international conference and symposium in Montreal, Canada.  The presentation, part of a panel of topics on fatigue risk management in the construction sub-section, discussed the elements of a fatigue risk management system, and introduced the DB&A concept of developing a Project Fatigue ProfileTM as a way to quickly identify and assess project or operational fatigue risks.

DB&A Conducts Fatigue Risk Management Workshop for Alaska Airlines

DB&A continued its efforts to support Alaska Airlines with Fatigue Risk Management in its flight operations by delivering a training and analysis workshop with key flight ops, safety and union representatives.  The workshop delivered education on new business processes the airline can adopt to conduct analysis of fatigue reports and city pair fatigue analysis.  DB&A also presented its findings and recommendations related to analysis of existing fatigue reports, analysis of ten key city pair schedule lines for the airline.  Also delivered was schedule alertness guidanc
